- Try a different USB port or cable—sometimes the simplest fix is the best!
2. Restart Everything 🔄
- Unplug your device, close WitPro, and restart your computer.
- Open WitPro again and reconnect your device.
3. Install Drivers 🧑💻
- Windows:
- Open Device Manager. Look for COM ports.

- Inside the location field, enter the path to the driver file.
%APPDATA%\wit-pro\drivers\cp210x
- Click on Browse then click on OK.
- Then Click on Next. And the Installation will start.
- Once the installation is complete, you can close the window.
- Then restart your computer.
- Then Close and Reopen WitPro and try to connect your device again.
- Open Device Manager. Look for COM ports.
- Mac:
- Most drivers install automatically, but you may need to approve them in System Preferences > Security & Privacy.
4. Check for Conflicting Software 🚫
- Close other programs that might use the same port (e.g., other Arduino IDEs, serial monitors).
- Only one program can use the port at a time!
5. Permissions & Access 🛡️
- Windows: Run WitPro as administrator.
- Mac/Linux: Make sure your user has permission to access USB/serial devices.
6. Board Not Showing Up?
- Make sure your board is powered on.
- Try pressing the reset button on your board.
- Double-check you’ve selected the correct board and port in WitPro.
7. Still Not Working? 🧑🔧
- Try your device on another computer to rule out hardware issues.
